Our Story

This is our journey to have the baby we want so much. As most of you know we have had quite the journey already.Before trying for our first pregnancy I had to have surgery for endometriosis. After the surgery we were ready to start fertility treatments. We finally got pregnant with our third fertility treatment. The pregnancy was going great until I got to 21 weeks then it took a turn for the worse. I got Eclampsia and HELLP and was very ill. My illness was just too much for our little guy to take and we lost him at 21 weeks.A year has passed and we have struggled trying to decide what we would do adopt or try again. The doctors told us I would probably get the illness again and the only thing we could do was try to hold the illness off until we were far enough along in the pregnancy where the baby could be delivered safely. Neither of us wanted to take the risk of illness in another pregnancy.We were very fortunate to have Jennifer and Shawn offer to be our gestational carrier.We were thrilled and Jennifer and Shawn were very excited. We have been so blessed to have two wonderful people in our lives that would be so giving to help us achieve our dream of having our own child. This is an unbelievable gift for which we will never be able to repay Jennifer and Shawn for.Our prayers just may have been answered!
